My Story

Hi, I’m Kirrily – Thank you for visiting!
I pray that something here inspires your soul, encourages you and brings joy to your world.

I grew up dreamy, passionate and wanting to change the world.

I wanted to be a criminal lawyer since as young as I could remember – because I thought lawyers changed the world. After lots of study, and a wild ride at University I became a lawyer and for a brief period of time served the beautiful young people of Western Sydney as a Children’s Solicitor. But after a personal encounter with the love and grace of God, my dream shifted from wanting to change the world to wanting to change hearts with the glorious gospel.

I enrolled in Bible College, where I met my larger than life and extremely passionate husband Tim. In 2002 we married and I joined him in pastoring God In The City Church, in Darlinghurst Sydney (now Citizens Sydney). This congregation was to become one of the great loves of our life.

After the beautiful church in Darlinghurst was born, 3 young boys followed. Sammy, Harry and Elijah. My gifts from God – the ones who stretch me, challenge me and bring me joy unspeakable. It is in the context of home with Tim and the boys that I am daily growing and learning the ever challenging yet stunningly beautiful art of love.

From the kitchen bench whilst baby Elijah slept I wrote poetry that was to become The Invisible Tree Series. A series that came to life with the beautiful illustrations of Henry Smith, and found itself at the bedside of many little ones and even some big ones.

From prayer, poetry and prophetic prompting emerged The Invisible She Collection of Garments - a creative expression of the message through fashion. Each garment became a living parable, a tangible reminder of the spiritual clothing God invites us to put on, such as righteousness, courage, humility, strength and dignity.

As I travelled to churches and women’s gatherings, ministering through teaching, poetry and the language of fashion, I watched women awaken to the beauty and authority of who they already were in Him.

In 2021, after a decade of carrying the message, The Invisible She was published. This book was born from years of conversation, prayer, wrestling, revelation and ministry. This pretty pink book, full of colour and creativity, has allowed the message to travel far beyond what I could personally carry.

Out of the book came The Invisible She Journey - a 10-week discipleship course inviting women deeper into their identity in Christ. Carrying this message to women and churches remains a personal joy and great privilege.

Following COVID and a season of sabbatical, contemplation and prayer, Tim and I sensed a shift. After 25 years of senior ministry, in 2025 we felt called to hand over the leadership of God in the City Church. I was sensing an increasing call to serve the broader Body of Christ as a minister, writer and speaker, while Tim was stepping into a broader call in business, carrying a message of faith and Kingdom generosity.

This transition coincided with an unexpected cancer diagnosis in September 2024 - a moment that ushered me into a deeply personal journey of healing and renewed dependence on the power and presence of God.

God in the City Church had been holy ground for a quarter of a century. It formed me as a leader, deepened me as a believer and refined my love for people and obedience to God. But it was time to step into a new season.

With full hearts and open hands, we handed over leadership in March 2025 to a beautiful and passionate young couple called to the Inner City. Tim, the boys and I stepped into a chapter of home, healing and quietly incubating what is next.

As I wait upon the power and presence of God, I now devote my time to family, writing and speaking. I love creating resources that nourish faith, stir spiritual hunger and make known the unfailing and everlasting love of God. As a minister I am passionate about healing, identity and spiritual awakening. I love to weave Scripture and story, poetry and proclamation. Calling people, especially women, into the unseen life of strength, wholeness and wonder found in Christ.

The dream has never really changed. It began as changing the world and became about radically changing hearts through the power of the gospel.

I minister and speak out of what God is teaching me. I love gathering with women (not just because it is an escape from my household of men). I believe that there is more for women than what we have known, or what we have been shown. There is something eternal, something beautiful to be revealed as we gather together in the presence of an almighty God.

In my women’s ministry, a message began to form. I found myself speaking about the identity of a woman in Christ. This became an unfolding revelation about the garments of the gospel available to everyone who places their faith in Him. For nearly ten years, I carried and refined The Invisible She.
